About Captain Angie
USCG Licensed Captain, Podcast Host & Nashville Music Industry Veteran
Angie Scott created The Woman Angler & Adventurer Podcast out of her passion for fishing and boating and her desire to inspire women of all ages to be active outdoors.
Though she developed her passion for fishing growing up in the “Land of 10,000 Lakes,” Angie has lived in Nashville for the past 20 years where she spends much of her time on a houseboat on Percy Priest Lake. She has many years of experience in the Nashville music business and operates an Airbnb for tourists.
In 2018 Angie obtained her United States Coast Guard Captain’s License to increase her boating knowledge and to better share her love of the water with others.
Captain Angie is all about cutomizing your outing based on your group’s needs! Half day, full day and sunset cruise options are available! Feel like doing some Pontoon Karaoke? No problem! Want to anchor in a cove and hang out on the large Lily Pad mat? Done! Want to have a blast jumping off the Lillipad Diving Board (you have no idea how fun it is until you’ve tried it!)? You got it!

Klean Kanteen Insulated bottles filled will ice cold water will be available for each guest to enjoy. There’s also a cooler stocked full of ice for you to use as needed! Angie will often stop and pick up litter floating in the water underway.
Captain Angie is a supporter of the Sea Tow Foundation’s Sober Skipper Program and the Sober Skipper Pledge which states you agree to:
1. Not operate any boat, no matter the size, if my plans include drinking alcohol.
2. Be responsible for my boat and all of my passengers.
3. Be or designate a sober skipper for every boating trip.
Legal drinking age passengers may enjoy alcohol responsibly on Angie Scott Adventures cruises and the captain will take care of the rest! Ubers and Lyfts are available to transport you to and from Four Corners Marina if you plan to consume alcohol and don’t have a designated driver available to get you and your group back safely.
We cover a half a tank of fuel which should be more than enough to run around the lake for a good while and anchor up at some point. However, if you want to run the lake beyond that you will be responsible for any additional fuel charges. We’ll always start with a full tank and give you a heads up before we start nearing the halfway mark so you can base your decisions on how you want to spend the rest of your time.
No. You should bring your own food or snacks. There are several restaurant options available on the lake as well. If you’d like to dock up to one of them during your trip and grab a bite to eat we can make that happen! You would be responsible for your own food/drink bill and tip at the restaurant.
Yes, there is. Although Captain Angie is fully licensed and insured and you’re safety is in the best of hands, a liability waiver still must be signed. It can be done digitally as part of the checkout/payment process.
Cruises are BYOB. No glass bottles or single use plastics are allowed onboard. Captain Angie is part of the Coasta Sunglasses #kickplastic Guide and Outfitter program meaning no single-use plastics are allowed onboard her charters. Bring as many reusable bottles or canned beverages as your heart desires!
The captain provides an iced down cooler full of filtered water in insulated Kleen Kanteen reusable bottles for your convenience.
Bring your ID if you plan on consuming alcoholic beverages. The captain will need to confirm everyone onboard partaking is 21 years old or older.
Bring sunscreen! Big Red has dual bimini tops for your comfort but you still may catch some good rays. Please refrain from spray-on sunscreen. Word on the street is the overspray can discolor seats and even damage the finish on the outside of a boat.
UV blocking sunglasses are a great idea to have as well!
You might want to bring a poncho or some rain gear, a dry bag and a towel if you plan on getting in the water!
No weapons or drugs are allowed. If caught with any of those items the charter will be immediately terminated and no refund will be provided.
No. Tipping your captain for her white glove service is greatly appreciated!
